During the Kavanaugh, Supreme Court Justice confirmation hearings Senator Ben Saase of Nebraska used part of his time to preface his interview of the judge with a lesson on the way things ought to be, according to the constitution, and an explanation as to why things may not be the way that they should be. This is a powerful lesson, one that we should listen to and learn from. It is a clear explanation of the way things were intended to function by our founding fathers.
